Air heaters are terminal units used in heating and air conditioning systems in commercial and industrial environments.
There are two types of air heaters depending on how they operate:
hydronic air heaters and electric air heaters.
Hydronic or water-based air heaters are used in systems
that consist of a unit that produces hot or cold water, such as boilers or heat pumps, and air heaters that are the terminal units.
Water-based air heaters are units made up of a fan, an exchange coil and a casing.
Their operation consists of forcing the passage of air
through the exchange coil by means of the fan.
The air absorbs the energy in the coil,
becoming hot or cold air, and this air is propelled
into the room that is being air-conditioned.
