The “Puerta del Sur de Iberia Transport and Logistics Centre” (CTL Puerta del Sur de Iberia), promoted by the companies Puerta del Sur de Iberia SL and Familia Malpesa Ortega SL, is a project adapted to the current logistics road transport market with large plots of land with a relatively flat topography that facilitates accessibility for large lorries. The land incorporated by this industrial development complements the existing land in the Guadiel Industrial Network, which is mainly oriented towards small and medium-sized industrial companies. This initiative will incorporate into the industrial tissue of the Municipality of Guarromán freight transport companies that require land designed according to the most modern standards of logistics activity with the provision of a Secure and Protected Parking Area for heavy vehicles in accordance with the new European guidelines. Its urban planning has considered four relevant aspects:
a.- Flexibility “a la carte”, with special attention to transport and logistics operators who demand large container-type buildings.
b.- Diversity and compatibility of uses in industrial plots, well communicated at national and regional level and with immediate access from the motorway and road for the largest sizes of heavy vehicles.
c.- Adequate infrastructures and facilities, with an impact on aspects of sustainability and economy of means, taking advantage of the economy of scale, allowing for a reduction in building and installation times for the business.
d.- Foreseeing a centralised area for large-scale land transport services, located in the centre of gravity of an industrial complex that groups together Sectors 6A and 6B as a single unit.
